I wanted to construct a brief guide to spotting prophetic dreams. This is no easy feat because it is impossible to spot them with 100% accuracy. However, there can be some huge clues that may increase the likelihood of the dream being prophetic. As everybody largely has their own unique ‘dream code’ it may not be the same for everyone. On top of this, even though much research shows that people dream in languages and symbols unique to their culture, myself and others have experienced times where unfamiliar things, people and places have become familiar only after researching them or experiencing them upon waking.

Your dream journal is not just a memory aid — it is a prophetic artefact.

Write everything. Draw everything. Use two pages if needed. Record forgettable details first. Number your pages. Re‑read your journal lucidly. Share your dreams with others.

Dreams often reference earlier pages, earlier drawings, earlier symbols. Your journal becomes a map of consciousness.

9. Non‑Intentional Dreamography — The Hidden Language of Prophecy

Sometimes the way you write or draw becomes prophetic:

• the shape of a word
• the placement of a drawing
• the spacing of letters
• accidental symbols
• subconscious typography

A Buddha becomes a meteor. Smoke becomes the letters “OMG.” A letter “A” becomes a heart. A dot becomes a real‑world marking.

Your dream journal speaks in logographic and iconographic ways you never intended — until waking life reveals the meaning.

This is one of the most extraordinary aspects of prophetic dreaming.

10. How to Assess Whether a Dream Is Prophetic

Ask yourself:

• Is the event common?
• Could this be day residue?
• Am I stretching the facts?
• Was the event predictable?
• Are multiple details unpredictable?
• Was the timing significant?
• Are there repeated dream markers?
• Do I often dream of the future?

Even if some answers point away from prophecy, the dream may still be prophetic. Prophecy is measured by patterns, not single matches.

11. Record Waking Life Too — It Is Also a Dream

If waking life is dreamlike — as many mystics, philosophers, and scientists suggest — then waking life deserves to be recorded with the same reverence.

Synchronicities, omens, lucid moments, visions, and symbolic events in waking life are part of the same tapestry as dreams.

A future descendant should find a complete journal of consciousness — not just dreams.

12. The Purpose of Prophetic Dreaming

Prophetic dreaming is not about prediction. It is about connection.

It connects us to:

• ourselves
• others
• the dead
• the future
• the past
• the land
• the collective unconscious
• the intelligence of nature
• the divine

Prophetic dreaming is a reminder that life — waking or dreaming — is a revelation.
